|
A
well-formed, 9 x 5 x 3mm, richly bi-colored, bright and lustrous
fresnoite, with light-blue natrolite vein fill, all on Franciscan
phyllite matrix. This fresnoite represents the top 5% in color
for the species. The back-bottom of the fresnoite hangs over the
matrix and shows an unobtrusive, triangular-shaped, 5 x 3 x 0.5mm
contact point. A very choice thumbnail specimen from Pocket Zone
#1!

#93, 2.0 x 1.5 x 1.4cm, *SOLD*
|
A great Mother-Load
Pocket plate consisting of a frosted white analcime crystal, with at
least 5 well formed, but frosted, fresnoite crystals (some show contacting
on the back side): 8mm, 7mm, 6mm and a 5mm crystal! Combo
plates with larger fresnoite crystals like this were very hard
to find during my mining project!

Fresnoite
Smcab #97, 7.0 x 6.0 x 5.2cm, *SOLD*
|
A small cabinet sized
piece of phyllite matrix with white analcime crystals underlying several
yellow and pink fresnoites. I see 3 good fresnoite crystals over
3mm: 3 x 2 x 1mm (nice pink), 7 x 4 x 2mm (some pink), and a 7 x 5 x
3mm. The largest and best fresnoite crystal stands upright near the
top of the piece, right in a nice patch of mirror-lustrous, gemmy analcime
crystals, and is very sharp! There is a bit of very hard, darkish
dirt stuck to this crystal. I was able to get most of it off,
but some still remains. Besides these, several other nice fresnoites
are seen on the piece. There are also some undamaged 2mm pink and yellow
fresnoites buried in gemmy analcime crystals at the rightmost part of
the matrix. Over-all, this is a fantastic combo specimen and is also
VERY FLUORESCENT!

Fresnoite #101
2.6 x 2.5 x 1.4cm,
$750
A
LARGE, FREESTANDING, 1.3 x 1.2 x 0.8cm fresnoite crystal, with
slightly mottled pink and gold tones, ON MATRIX. The only damage
on the crystal is a small detachment point at the front-left.
The crystal has decent luster in some areas, but is also
a bit dulled in others. The matrix is analcime and natrolite
crystals. A great Mother-Load Pocket specimen and a world-class
matrix fresnoite! Order

A SUPERB, WORLD-CLASS,
rich pink and golden yellow

at the
base and is perfect everywhere else. The color and quality of
this crystal compares directly with the 1.7cm matrix crystal I have
pictured on my main fresnoite page. Mother-Load Pocket!

A VERY LARGE, and
generally complete, 1.8 x 1.3 x 0.8cm pink-dominant fresnoite crystal
showing some sides of simple habit and others of a complex, re-healed
look, ON MATRIX! Another 7mm fresnoite is lower on the etched
natrolite matrix. This is one of the largest matrix fresnoite
crystals I found in the Mother-Load Pocket, making it world class!
